ABOUT

The deterioration in housing affordability has been of continuing concern for communities across Australia, particularly in the capital cities. The causes of that deterioration generally relate to surges in demand driven by economic conditions, impact of other and sometime incoherent policies, lack of responsiveness of the supply systems, and poor policy and planning at the submarket level. The Strategies and responses from governments have varied across jurisdictions over time. This IGPA Seminar will discuss those responses and key elements that would make such strategies more effective.

The Seminar is jointly convened by Professorial Fellow Jon Stanhope AO and Adjunct Professor Dr Khalid Ahmed PSM.
