Paul Vinod Khiatani

ABOUT

Paul Vinod Khiatani is a doctoral student at the City University of Hong Kong, where he is working on the intersection of action theory and moral identity theory in the context of protest. More specifically, his doctoral dissertation examines the relationship between protest behaviours and the moral self in Hong Kong protests characterized by contentious political actions.  Through his research, he hopes to elucidate the role and importance of moral selfhood in explaining variations in protest participation, particularly along the lines of activism and radicalism. His areas of interest include sociological and political theory, youth studies, upperworld-underworld relations, and social movements.
