Ulrike Guérot


Ulrike Guérot is Founder and Director of the European Democracy Lab (europeandemocracylab.eu) at the European School of Governance in Berlin. Before, she was for seven years the director of the Berlin office of the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR).

She has worked for different research institutes (Notre Europe, DGAP) and has helped building think tanks both in France and Germany. She has taught and researched on European integration and Europe’s role in the world at leading international universities (NYU, Bucerius Law School) and was guest researcher for Democracy & Democratisation at the renowned WZB (Social Sciences Research Centre Berlin). As of April 2016 Ulrike Guérot is Professor at Danube University Krems and head of Department for European Policy and the Study of Democracy.
